Investment Company Stills Shoot

It was fun working with an investment company based in Hertfordshire last September. The job came from agency Receptional, where their art director asked me to take on full production and shooting of the project.

A meeting with the companies in house marketing person later and a plan was created; we needed 2 models, one day, 2 locations (one of which would be in-house) and I’d need a HMUA and gaffer.

On the shoot day, being low budget it was a case of myself picking up a lot of the slack, using only my own equipment and we cracked out these shots (below) within the space of a working day. We had about 30 mins with each of the company executives to create a series of headshots / hero shots for future usage, then the rest of the day to create the lifestyle imagery with our talent.

A large part of the shoot was creating legitimate, visual emotion - elation and frustration. Investing is about the downs just as much as the ups, and the imagery had to reflect this.

In all, a fun shoot and it’s occasionally fun to flex just what can be done with a low budget, but with a great team.
